Last week Microsoft released a preview of the Template Apps – A new experience that was designed for partners and ISVs to deliver streamlined analytics to their clients. By now, you should be able to install or create template apps. You can learn about my early experience here, and read about the official announcement on the Power BI blog here.
Over the weekend Microsoft released 4 articles that explain the Template Apps and can be found under docs.microsoft.com > Power BI Service > How To > Template Apps.
The first article here provides and overview on Template Apps. The second article here describes the creation process (for partners) in details. The third article here provides tips for template app authors (partners again), and finally for the majority of the readers, the last article here explains (for clients) how to install the template app, and how to distribute it in your organization.
In my last blog post here, I shared the steps I used to create my first Template App (You can purchase the .pbix file here).

The Template App is not published yet. Here is a screenshot from the template status on Microsoft Cloud Partner Portal. Once it will get published I will post an update.

To help me test the template app, try installing this link, and share your feedback in the comments below.
My next Template App will include a basic Facebook analysis of any 4 Facebook pages. Stay tuned.
